What size photo should I use for the poster?

Your photo should be at least 1mb in size, preferably larger.  Anything smaller will dull the sharpness of the poster.  Larger files, like 2mb or 3mb, may take a little longer to upload (about one minute on a standard home cable connection), but will create sharper images!

How are the posters built?

Your choice.  Either let us do it for you for free by using the online form, or do it yourself. The process for building a poster in Fotoflex is intuitive and straightforward.  You simply upload your pictures, and then place them into the template you choose.  After adding any titles or comments and approving your poster, we take it from there, printing out the quantity you choose on our state of the art, 16-bit color (600 dpi) printer.  We then mail the finished products to you, and we guarantee that you will be satisfied.

What sizes are the posters?

The posters are printed on 14"x20" cardstock.  Horizontal posters can be either a full photo 14x20 or an 11x20 photo with about 2.5 inches of space for copy or text.  We do not offer larger or smaller size posters at this time.

When can I expect the posters once I order?

We usually can print and ship your order within five days; this is largely dependent on the volume of orders coming through.  Contact us if you have a deadline you are trying to make or are in a rush situation and we will make every effort to expedite your order.

How do you ship the posters?

We ship via United States Postal Service Priority Mail.  This allows for rapid delivery (most addresses in the U.S. are 2-3 days).

How much is shipping/handling?

We charge a flat $5.00 for all orders and there is no handling charge.

How many posters can I order?

There is no limit to the number of posters you can order.  The minimum order for team pricing is only 10 posters.  Individual pricing is also available.  For more information on prices, see our pricing section here - Pricing

Do you offer any promotions or discounts?

Yes.  Any team order (10 or more) receives two additional posters free.  For instance, if you order ten posters, you would receive two additional posters free of charge (for a total of twelve).

We established this discount specifically for the builder (you!) and for the head coach, but you can use the two extra for any purpose.

Does MyTeamPoster.com ever sponsor, or donate back to leagues or teams?

We do not have a set program in place at this time.  However, if you are interested in setting up a sponsorship feel free to contact us at mail@myteamposter.com.

What kind of camera should I use?

In general, the higher the megapixels, the higher the quality of the final, printed poster.  However, we guarantee you will be satisfied with the final product if using a photo from a camera that outputs images at 4 megapixels or higher.

What kind of Internet connection will I need?

An integral part of the process is the uploading of your pictures so they can be printed and enjoyed.  We highly recommend you use a high speed (cable or DSL) connection to do this.  The uploading process is limited when using a dial-up modem, mostly due to the time it will take to transfer images across the telephone line (limited by bandwidth).   Dial-up communication can also compromise the integrity or quality of the image on the poster itself.   For those reasons, we recommend against using a dial-up modem or service when building your poster.  However, any cable, DSL, or other broadband service should work fine.

Can I save my work for later?

Yes.  You can save your work on our server for an unlimited time at no charge.

Can I order more copies after my initial order?

Yes, but we print in quantities of ten or more for team pricing.  If you need more copies after your original order has been fulfilled, let us know and we will work with you to find the best price for the quantity you need.

Can I use college or professional team logos?

Copyright laws of the United States prevent the use of any artwork or pictures that are owned by someone else without their permission.  This is particularly true of college and professional sports teams, so it is important to avoid using any artwork or logos from these teams in designing your poster.

Check with your league or team manager to confirm that it is okay to use any logos already designed for your team.  Since your efforts are on behalf of the team, there should not be a problem with this, but you will want to check to make sure.

Can I use other pictures on my poster that are not my own?

Yes, but only with the permission of the photographer.  We encourage you to work with other members of your team to collect as many pictures as you can, but make sure they know what you are doing and that it is okay with them.  Also, if using a team picture taken by a professional for your team (even if you paid for it), you will need their permission if you want to use it in a MyTeamPoster product.

Copyright laws of the United States prevent anyone from using pictures taken from websites or of your favorite sports personality unless you took the picture (or you have their permission).  For instance, if you were making a baseball poster for your team, it would be unlawful to include a picture of Johnny Bench, or a replication of his baseball card, or any image of him unless you took the picture yourself, or you had the owner’s permission.

Some free clipart and photography websites do allow the use of their art, but you will want to make sure of their usage rules before copying and using their material.

Where can I get help writing titles or comments?
